Maggie’s Wake has been making big waves in the short time this talented four-piece band has been performing together.
After releasing their debut self-titled album in March 2024, Maggie’s Wake have been playing sold out theatres and halls across North America. They won the New/Emerging Artist Award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in April 2025.
Featuring Tara Dunphy on lead vocals, tin whistle, flute and fiddle, Lindsay Schindler on fiddle/violin and harmony vocals, along with Andrew Kosty on bass and Ken Palmer on guitar, this immensely talented group brings joy and inspiration to their audiences through their music.
Maggie’s Wake has an original roots sound, blending traditional folk, jazz, Canadiana and classic country, enhanced by Celtic instrumentation. They are passionate about bringing the rich history of this music to life in a way that honours its history while also being wholly original.
