Juno winners the Good Lovelies are bringing their signature folk-country harmonies to Hilton Beach.
Kerri Ough, Sue Passmore, and Caroline Brooks are immensely talented vocalists and songwriters in their own right; however, it’s their voices interwoven in harmony that elevates this trio from impressive to peerless.
These three friends and solo artists came together in 2006 to perform a Christmas concert in Toronto. They quickly realized that together, they were greater than the sum of the parts, and so the Good Lovelies was born.
It was meant to be: the Good Lovelies’ debut self-titled studio album won the 2010 Juno Award for Roots and Traditional Group Album of the Year.
Over the course of their decade-plus career, they’ve covered plenty of stylistic ground, adding tinges of pop, roots, jazz, and even hip-hop to their country folk core.
Their fourth original studio album, Shapeshifters, just came out in February to widespread accolades.
This trio is quickly becoming a household name and their signature sound is recognized across Canada and the world. We are delighted to welcome the Good Lovelies to St. Joseph Island this summer!
